In September, maestro Lynn Chang invited our advanced students to give a joint performance with Boston Conservatory’s premier string ensemble, Hemenway Strings. It was such an exciting and inspiring experience for all!
Longy’s Sistema Side by Side gave their first performance of the year in October. For the first time three ensembles were featured, the symphony orchestra, and the new string orchestra and wind ensemble. BSA students represent a large portion of the string sections.
BSA parents organized a very fun outing to the Tree Top Adventures. Students, parents and teachers enjoyed zip lining down the trees!
BSA students joined a selected group from Longy’s Sistema Side by Side Orchestra to perform under the renown conductor, maestro Gustavo Dudamel, in an open rehearsal setting. This was part of The Creative Class series by Harvard University at Sanders Theater.
