For new beginning/rising intermediate students (0-4 years experience), please fill out our registration form for either the Chinatown Morning or Allston Afternoon programs. These groups are for the Petite and Prejunior Ensembles:
The Academy has collaborated with renowned artists including Midori, Gustavo Dudamel and Sir Simon Rattle.
AUDITION REQUEST FOR ADVANCED STUDENTS:
For intermediate/advanced students, please sign up to audition for our top two ensembles, the Junior Ensemble and the Youth Ensemble.
REGISTRATION CHECKLIST
Here are the steps to finalize registration:
- Fill out the BSA Registration Form for your program of choice (links above).
- Create a Blackbaud Tuition Management Account. (One-time needed per family).
- Apply for Financial Aid (if applicable).
- Submit an Audition Video or request a Live Audition if applying for our top two ensembles, the Junior Ensemble and Youth Ensemble.
TUITION, FEES AND FINANCIAL AID
Boston String Academy will be collecting tuition and fees through Blackbaud Tuition, an online tuition management service. In their Blackbaud account, families can choose the frequency of payments.
Subsidized Tuition for our String Orchestra Programs:

Financial Aid
We believe that all students should have access to a high quality music education, regardless of their families finances. Boston String Academy is proud to offer Financial Aid to families that qualify. No family will be turned away due to financial hardship. OUR SCHEDULES:
Junior Ensemble rehearsals: 4:00 – 5:30pm
Youth Ensemble rehearsals: 5:30 – 7:30pm
Private lessons take place from 2:30 – 7:30pm
OUR ENSEMBLES IN A NUT SHELL:
Students from the Junior Ensemble have performed on local tours, collaborated with special artists through the Celebrity Series of Boston, and attended prestigious music festivals. Prospective Junior Ensemble students can reach out to us to schedule an audition.
Students from this ensemble have performed on international tours, won auditions to perform in the infamous Carnegie Hall of New York, and attended prestigious music festivals. Graduating seniors have won auditions to music conservatories across the country. Prospective Youth Ensemble students can reach out to us to schedule an audition.
